How to Create a QR Code
A clear, step-by-step walkthrough of creating a QR code from start to finish.
1. Choose your QR type
Decide what the QR code should do when scanned. Veyqora supports website URLs, plain text, Wi-Fi, contacts (vCard), email, phone, SMS, location, and calendar events. Pick the type that matches your goal. You can switch types at any time in the generator.
2. Enter your information
Fill in the fields for your chosen type. For a URL, type the web address. For Wi-Fi, enter the network name and password. For a contact, fill in your name, phone, email, and other details. The QR code updates live as you type, so you can see it take shape immediately.
3. Customize the QR code
Open the customization panel to adjust foreground and background colors, dot style (square, rounded, or dots), error correction level, PNG resolution, quiet zone, and an optional center logo. Veyqora warns you if your color choices may be too low contrast. Keep customization moderate — heavy styling can reduce scannability.
4. Check the live preview
The preview on the right side of the generator shows exactly how your QR code will look. If the preview shows "Your QR code will appear here," you still need to fill in required fields. If it shows a code, you are ready to download.
5. Download PNG or SVG
Choose PNG for digital use (screens, social media, small prints) or SVG for print (business cards, posters, signs, packaging). SVG stays sharp at any size. You can also copy the QR image to your clipboard or copy the encoded text. Learn more in our PNG vs SVG guide.
6. Scan-test before using
Before you print or publish the QR code, scan it with your own phone. Confirm it does what you expect — opens the right page, connects to the right network, saves the right contact. If you plan to print, test from a printed proof at the final size. Read our printing guide for detailed advice.
