What is a URL QR code?
A URL QR code stores a web address (like https://example.com) inside the code. When someone scans it with a phone camera or QR reader, the link opens in their browser. This is the most common QR type — used for menus, product pages, event registrations, portfolios, and any page you want people to reach quickly.
How to create a URL QR code
- 01
Enter your URL
Type the web address. Domains without https:// are automatically secured for you.
- 02
Customize if needed
Adjust colors, size, dot style, or add a logo using the customization panel.
- 03
Check the preview
The live preview updates as you type, so you can see the QR code immediately.
- 04
Download PNG or SVG
Save the format that fits your use case — PNG for screens, SVG for print.
- 05
Scan-test it
Scan the code with your own phone to confirm the correct page opens before sharing.

Things to check before printing
- • Confirm the URL opens the correct page on a phone, not just a desktop.
- • Make sure the destination page is mobile-friendly — most scans happen on phones.
- • Use HTTPS so the link is secure; Veyqora adds https:// automatically when you enter a bare domain.
- • If the destination page may move, consider where it will live long-term, since a static code cannot be edited.
- • Print at least 2.5–3 cm wide with a clear white quiet zone around the code.
What happens if the destination changes?
A static URL QR code cannot be redirected after it is created. If the destination page is moved, deleted, or the domain changes, you will need to generate a new QR code and replace the old one wherever it is printed or displayed. This is the trade-off of static codes: they never expire and need no hosting, but the encoded URL is permanent.
Common problems
The QR code opens the wrong page
Double-check the URL you entered. A typo or extra space can send scanners to the wrong destination or an error page.
The link doesn't open on some phones
Some older phones may not auto-open links from QR codes. The user may need to tap a notification. Test on multiple devices.
The QR code is too dense to scan
Long URLs create more data modules. Use a short, clean URL where possible and print the code larger if needed.
FAQ
What is a URL QR code?
A URL QR code stores a web address. When scanned, it opens the link in the phone's browser, taking the person directly to the page you chose.
Can I change the URL after downloading the QR code?
No. Veyqora creates static QR codes, so the URL is encoded permanently at generation time. To point to a different page, create a new QR code.
Will the QR code still work if the website goes offline?
The QR code itself will still scan, but the link will not open if the destination page has been removed or the domain is no longer active. The code never expires, but the destination must remain available.
Does Veyqora add a redirect link?
No. The QR code contains your full URL directly — there is no Veyqora redirect, tracking link, or intermediate server involved.
